Our Gosford employment site has been working closely with AETS, a registered RTO to bring to participants into the Employability Skills Training (EST) Program. The EST program is a Youth Jobs Path initiative which involves courses designed to give young people all the necessary tools to build their pathway to employment. Participants draw on their own unique skills and develop them further to undertake a project with the purpose of making a contribution to their local community.
The recent project saw participants fund-raise and build toiletry sets to donate to Coast Shelter. The participants, AETS and Olympus Solutions | Ability Options worked with local businesses to gain donations for the packages that were designed to have all the necessary items to help those in need. A huge thank you to all the businesses including Woolworths, Bakers Delight, Frangipani, Croissant Bakery, Yaz Yaz and The Good Bits Co. who supported us as well as Coast Shelter who allowed the participants to take part in such a fulfilling project. During this project, the course participants are encouraged to attend job interviews, one motivated participated undertook an interview and commenced employment this week.
