Friday 27 July 2018, Olympus Solutions | Ability Options Employment office in Shellharbour launched Thursday 26 July, ready to support and provide employment services to the local Shellharbour community.

This expansion included opening employment offices in Shellharbour, Wollongong and Corrimal.
“We are proud and excited to launch our employment service to the local community. Our organisation has been active in the DES program for over 20 years and our success comes down to our ability to listen to and work closely with local businesses and job seekers to find sustainable employment outcomes that work for both people looking for work and local employers. I know our team is passionate to start delivering high quality employment services to customers in the Illawarra. ” Said Brenda Odewahn, CEO Olympus Solutions and COO Ability Options.
The Shellharbour site, which will offer both DES and Aboriginal Employment Service VTEC was officially opened by Anna Watson MP, Member for Shellharbour who said of the service,
“I am very pleased to have been invited by Olympus Solutions/Ability Options to officially launch the new Shellharbour employment office”.
“Congratulations to Olympus Solutions/Ability Options on the official opening of the Shellharbour office, I trust that your organsiation will provide an invaluable employment service to the Shellharbour community”.
With motivated local jobseekers already signed up to use the service, there is a need for local employers to come on board and employ through the service as well.
One local employer who is encouraging other local business to utilise employment services is, Len Musumeci from Harrigan Ford who recently employed Matt McCarthy at his dealership “Matt has never missed a beat, works over and beyond and has definitely attributed to our success at the dealership”
With business needing to focus on day to day operations, finding staff with the right skills, abilities and attitude can be time consuming and expensive. The services offered by employment service providers are at no cost to employers and can benefit business owners through a variety of initiatives.
“With the support and mentoring offered to job seekers like Matt, we are thrilled to have been part of his placement and I thank Harrigan Ford and all our local employers for their continued support and assistance”. Concluded Ms Odewahn.
